Our Trip South

Last Wednesday Frank and I packed up our car and hit the road. Our reason for the trip was to celebrate the marriage of this couple.

Haley is one of my very best friends. She and Luke got married quickly last year. Like the day he deployed for a year in Afghanistan.
Luke is home and they finally had the chance to have their wedding reception.

Haley's family lives in Natchitoches, Louisiana. This is the same town that Steel Magnolia's was filmed. Remember the Christmas festival that Julia Roberts was at? That's the place! Haley and Luke will be moving to the St. Louis area in 2 weeks. I am SO excited to have them closer.
Haley is one of those people who is insanely talented. She is the smartest person I know, she can sew, make jam, basically anything she tries... she is good at. We can add cookie decorating to her list of things she should become professional in. We left Springfield on Wednesday night, drove to Dallas. Spent Thursday in a town called Waxahachie. Friday I got to spend 1 hour with another of my best friends... Rebecca. I finally got to meet Mr. Eli.

He was the BEST baby.

How cute are they? Rebecca lives in Tuscon so we don't get to see each other much at all.
From Dallas we went to Nachitoches on Friday. Saturday evening we drove to Little Rock. (we were missing our baby like crazy) In Little Rock we stayed with another one of my best friends, Amy. (I didn't get a picture of the Tracy family... so this is as close as I could get)

Frank and I had a lot of quality time together. I'm lucky that I still really like hanging out with the guy! It was a great trip, but we won't be leaving the Hays man for that long for quite some time.
